ALICE LAFRANCE (nee KLYNE) Mrs. Alice Lafrance, aged 86 years, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 28, 2004 at the Sunnywood Manor, Pine Falls, MB. Alice was born in Woodridge, MB on January 21, 1918. Alice is survived by her two sons and their wives, David (Diane) of Calgary, AB, and Paul (Lisa) of Cowichan Bay, BC; four grandchildren, Martyn, Jillian, Camille and Mason; her stepsister Lorraine Moore of Kenora, ON; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Henry in 1993, stepbrother Martin Klyne in 1975 and stepbrother Leonard Klyne in 2001. Alice resided in Pine Falls most of her life. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Golden Leisure Club and the Silver Haven Club. Alice will be remembered by all who knew her as she touched many peoples lives. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 31 at 11:00 a.m. at the Notre Dame du Laus Roman Catholic Church, Powerview, MB with Rev. Fr. Jim Gray, the celebrant. Interment of cremains will follow in the Pine Falls Mill cemetery. Special thanks to the Pine Falls Hospital, doctors and nurses, friends and neighbours, Rev. Fr. Jim Gray, members of the choir, the honorary pallbearers and the staff of Sunnywood Manor.
