MARGARET ISOBEL MORROW (nee GILES) Surrounded by her loving family, Margaret Morrow passed away Saturday, August 28, 2004, at the St. Boniface General Hospital, at the age of 77 years. Margaret was predeceased in 1992 by her loving husband Jim of 42 years; and over the years, her parents, Mary and Albert; brothers, Tom, Bud, Milton, Jack, George, David; and sisters, Berta, Freda and Gertie. She will be truly missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Marg Bartel (Dave), Bill (Laura) and Bette Vance (Roy) grandchildren, Krista, Kerri Bartel, Josh, Rachel and Alanna Morrow; and numerous nieces and nephews. Margaret was born in Saskatchewan, grew up in Hudson Bay, a town she loved. She fulfilled her dream to become a registered nurse and graduated with the Class of 1949 from the Misericordia General Hospital in Winnipeg. She held the Class of 1949 dear to her heart all through these years, remaining in close contact with her dearest friends until the day she died. While in nurses training Margaret met and married Jim Morrow in 1950, they moved to St. Andrews where they owned and gardened 16 acres of land, and raised their three children. Margaret worked full time as a registered nurse at the Misericordia General Hospital (1949 to 1965) and retired from the Selkirk General Hospital (1965 to 1980). She also enjoyed the time she spent as camp nurse at Faith Bible Camp. ILY. Let any tears turn to tears of joy because you know I will be with my Lord and will be singing with my beloved Jim (and others). Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of the St. Boniface General Hospital and Concordia Hospital. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service celebrating Margarets life will be held on Friday, September 3 at 1:00 p.m. in the Edward J. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St. If friends so desire, donations may be made in memory of Margaret to Faith Bible Camp, Box 42059, RPO Ferry Road, Winnipeg, MB R3J 3X7 or to the St. Boniface General Hospital Research Foundation, 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6.
