HOLGER HENRY PEDERSEN On Sunday, August 29, 2004, at the Villa in Ste. Annes, Holger died as he lived, simply and peacefully. He leaves to mourn his dear friends, Ellen and Louise and their families. Holger was born on February 1, 1897 in Denmark. He immigrated to Canada as a young man in 1923. He settled in Ross where he farmed until he moved to Richer with Yvette Godard, his caregiver, in 1997. His final years were spent at Villa Youville in Ste. Annes from 2000 until his death. Holger epitomized the meaning of friendship. He especially connected with children and animals. He was generous on a large scale with donations of money to the St. Boniface Hospital Research Centre and on a smaller scale of rabbits to children. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Sincere thanks are extended to Yvette Godard, Sister Rioux and all the employees of Ward D at the Villa Youville for the heartwarming care that was afforded to our friend in his final years. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 1 at 10:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. No. 1 E. at Navin Road with viewing one half hour prior to service. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery Hwy. No. 1 E. at Navin Road. 1-204-925-1120
