Fannie was born in Birmingham, England, on December 4, 1905, to Samuel and Florence Riley. She trained as an accountant and worked for a number of years in Birmingham. Fannie sailed to Canada in 1937 where she joined her future husband and was married in Rugby Chapel, Emmanuel College, Saskatoon, on July 1. Her 14 years with "Jimmie" were devoted to her children and church work in such places as Sunset Prairie and Pouce Coupe in British Columbia, Strasbourg, Balcarres and Melville in Saskatchewan and Devon Mission, The Pas in Manitoba. She devoted countless hours to her grandchildren, taking them to plays, the symphony and ballet as well as on holidays to the beach and parts of Canada. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of Middlechurch Home for the care and support over the past six years. Your kind deeds, words and gestures were very much appreciated and will not be forgotten.
