HUGH GWILLAM NICHOL On Monday, August 30, 2004 at the Rideau Park Personal Care Home, Brandon, MB, Hugh Nichol of Brandon and formerly of Portage la Prairie, widower of the late Edna Nichol, passed away at the age of 92 years. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of the Omega Funeral Home, Portage la Prairie, on Friday, September 3 at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Dale Woods officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot at Hillside Cemetery. Predeceased by his wife Edna; brothers, Gordon, Sam, Fred; sisters, Eva, Eleanor and Frances. Hugh will be sadly missed by his children, Irene and her husband Dennis from Steinbach, Bill and his wife Kimberly from Brandon. Hugh is also survived by five grandchildren, Lisa (Chad), Samantha (Freddie), Todd (Cheryl), Kimberly (Tim), Kristine; and five great-grandchildren, Peyton, Laine, Sydney, Aihnoa and Lucas. Friends may call at the funeral home for visitation prior to the service. Should friends so desire memorial donations may be made in Hughs name to a charity of your choice.
