GARY GORDON PASTERNAK On August 28, 2004, Gary passed away on the Trans-Canada Highway at the age of 58 years. Gary is survived by his wife Jacki; daughter Leah Pasternak of Winnipeg; stepdaughters Janelle-Marie Emond and Anita Emond both of Winnipeg; son Todd Pasternak of Winnipeg. He also leaves to mourn his special friend Shannon of Swift Current, SK. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph Pasternak in 1970 and Lucille Doris McRae in 1990. Gary was born and raised in Toronto, ON where he was a musician for a number of years. He moved extensively throughout Canada, eventually settling in Edmonton, AB where he met his future wife Jacki. They moved to Winnipeg, MB where they had two children and raised their family. Gary worked as a Handi-Transit driver for a number of years as well as having his own chimney sweeping company, working seasonally in the Falcon Lake/Kenora areas. He was also a trucker during the winter. His pride and joy was his family by whom he is loved and missed terribly. The family would like to thank Collette Mather and the Britney Smith family. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 11 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street with Pastor Kevin Snyder officiating.
