Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGRACE McKELVEY (nee TAYLOR) 1914 - 2004 Grace passed away peacefully on Monday, August 30, 2004 at Middlechurch Home. Grace was predeceased by her husband Gordon in 1973. She will be lovingly remembered by her two children, Heather Peirce (Allan) of Calgary and Donald McKelvey (Nelyda) of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; two grandchildren, Shelagh Peirce (Mark) of England and David Peirce (Alice) and one great-grandson, Colby Peirce of the Philippines. She is also survived by her sister Connie Daily (Bob) of Winnipeg, sister-in-law Kay McKelvey of Winnipeg and brother-in-law Edward Shute of Calgary. She was recently predeceased by her sister Marion Ives. Grace was born on December 6, 1914 and lived all her life in Winnipeg. After graduating from Daniel McIntyre Collegiate, she worked for many years in the retail clothing business. Her most fulfilling job was as an aide at Sir William Whyte School. She enjoyed life to the fullest by spending time with her friends and participating in a variety of activities. She particularly cherished her association with North Centennial Seniors. Later in life she travelled to many parts of the world. The family wishes to thank the staff at Middlechurch Home for their excellent care and compassion. Cremation has taken place and a private interment will be held at Brookside Cemetery. For all friends and family who wish to celebrate Graces life, a reception will be held at Sparling United Church, 1609 Elgin Ave. West, on Friday, September 3 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made in Graces memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102 - 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, R3C 0S6, or a charity of their choice.
