ROBERT (BOBBY) WARREN OWENS Peacefully passed away at his home at the age of 68 years on September 1, 2004. Bobby is survived by his mother Marjorie Manners; and his children, Pat Davies (Mike), Carol Harper (Mike), Glen Owens (Florita) grandchildren, Jennifer, Scott, Emily, Arturo, Mitzi and Rochelle; his brother Dwight Manners; sisters, Sandy Loptson (Vince), Brenda Bresch (Reg) and Shari Manners (Ren) also numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his wife Winnifred Owens; his father Barney Owens; step-father Jack Manners; and his brother Ken Owens. Bobby was born on the farm near Cartwright, MB on June 23, 1936. He moved to Winnipeg with his mother and then to Bissett, MB with his mother and sister Sandy where he enjoyed many happy years growing up. His fondest memories in his later years were of his Wallace Lake outings. He loved the outdoors and participated and watched many sports. He spent many enjoyable hours at the Fort Garry Legion where he won a shuffleboard championship. Bobby was a very hard worker with a strong work ethic. He would never refuse to help anyone out. As in the popular Frank Sinatra song "My Way" so he lived his life. Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial will take place at a later date.
