DAVID JOHN FITZNER January 12, 1967 - September 4, 2004 Our husband/father, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend David John Fitzner, age 37, left us suddenly on September 4, 2004. A wake will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. in the KeNaNow Community Centre in Wabowden. Funeral services, integration of Aboriginal and Christian teachings, will be held on Thursday, September 9 at 1:00 p.m. also in the KeNaNow Community Centre. Interment to follow in the Wabowden Cemetery. His time came too soon with unfulfilled dreams. David was the youngest son of Hilda and Frederick Fitzner Sr. (deceased), and young brother to his 15 brothers and sisters - he was our "baby brother". He was a hard worker with a strong work ethic - he was employed variously as a carpenter, fisherman, and heavy equipment operator with the forestry industry. He always made sure that he worked from the time he could start working. He loved hunting and fishing and has caught his share of moose, caribou, ducks and other game that he shared with his family and friends. He was called by his pet name "Duck" by siblings. He was a likable, thoughtful, witty, happy, and warm-hearted man. He was talented with singing and playing guitar and a wonderful handyman. David was raised in Wabowden and was a member of the Opaskwayak Cree Nation. Boardman/Northland Funeral Home in care of arrangements phone 778-7982 Thompson
