Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMICHAEL FRANK MONASTERSKI Suddenly on September 5, 2004 at age 69, surrounded by his family and after a courageous battle with diabetes. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 48 years Adele (nee Prystupa) daughter Gloria (Tony) and their sons, Christopher, Joshua Lynch; son Terry (Darlene) and their daughters, Jenessa, Jennifer; son Darryl (Giselle) daughter Angela (Clint) and their daughter Julianne Dzuba. He also leaves to mourn sister Josephine (Hugh) Winter, numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Mike was born in Winnipeg on May 28, 1935. He married Adele on July 28, 1956 in Winnipeg and raised four children on the family farm. Mike loved baseball, curling and hunting with great passion and later loved being an umpire for many baseball games all over Manitoba. He was predeceased by his parents Martin in 1952 and Julia (Dziadyk) in 1970. The family would also like to thank the nurses and Dr. Pillay at the Hunter Memorial Hospital in Teulon and also to all the family, friends and neighbours that showed their support during this difficult time. Prayers will be held at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon on Thursday, September 9 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church, Komarno on Friday, September 10 at 10:30 a.m. Pallbearers will be Bobbie Prystupa, Lorne Uruski, Harvey Mankewich, Ralph Schipper, Patrick Dyrda, Myron Dyrda. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hunter Memorial Hospital or the Canadian Diabetes Association. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Teulon in care of arrangements.
