JACK ANDERSON The family of Jack Anderson Sr., sadly announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and Grandpa on Tuesday, September 7, 2004 at the age of 82 years. Jack was predeceased by his parents, Tom and Nellie Anderson; brother Fred; sisters, Hazel and Margaret. Jack will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his loving wife Lil, of 57 years; sons, Jack (Irene), Wayne (Nadine), Ken (Phyllis) grandchildren, Shaun (Brenda), Charlene, Erin and Ashley; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Sarah and Danielle. Jack joined the Queens Own Cameron Highlanders in 1939 and served overseas in the Second World War. He was a pipefitter at various establishments and joined the C.N.R. in 1954. He was stationed at the Fort Rouge C.N.R. yards and went to Transcona before retiring in 1985. Upon his retirement he enjoyed travelling with his family and friends. His travels took him to many countries, his favourite was his cruises. Jack touched many with his fun-loving, carefree, supportive and generous heart. He had a great love for music, cars and war movies. The family would like to thank the staff at the Victoria General Hospital who attended to his care. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 11 at 3:00 p.m. from Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Childrens Wish Foundation, 350 St. Mary Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3C 3J2.
