LAURENT) Peacefully on Tuesday, September 7, 2004 at the Seven Oaks Hospital, Eva was called by Our Lord to Heaven at the age of 99 years. Born in Cantal, SK. On January 10, 1905 Eva led a long and healthy life. The youngest of six children Eva was raised in numerous towns throughout Saskatchewan prior to settling in Oak Lake, MB. There she met the love of her life Joseph Alfred Maxine Dufily, they moved to Lac du Bonnet where they were married. While in Lac du Bonnet Eva and Alfred toiled at many ventures including their own plumbing business and a restaurant. Eva and Alfred were married for 28 years and had two daughters, Aileen and Margaret prior to Alfreds passing in 1961. Eva is also predeceased by her daughter Margaret in 1992 and son-in-law Roy Kaiser in 1993. Later in life Eva travelled and enjoyed the company of numerous friends. Evas golden years were spent with family, being cared for by her daughter Aileen and granddaughter Colleen until her passing. Eva leaves to mourn her passing daughter Aileen Kaiser; grandchildren, Gordon Kaiser (Mayuka), Alfred Kaiser (Sara), Richard Kaiser (Dana), Colleen Mirwaldt (Thomas), Cheryl Berkshire (Brian), Michelle Daves (Graham), Lisa Burgess (Roger), Mark Vanderhagen, Patricia Deschenes (Denver) and fourteen grandchildren. The family would like to gratefully acknowledge the care of the nursing staff on the third and fifth floors of the Seven Oaks Hospital. If friends so desire memorial donations in her memory may be made to a charity of ones choice. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of her life will take place on Saturday, September 11 at 11:00 a.m. from the Notre Dame du Lac Parish, Lac du Bonnet, MB with Fr. Mirek Szynal presiding. Her cremated remains will be interred in the family plot in the Lac du Bonnet Cemetery. God bless and keep you Eva, you have enriched all of our lives and taught us so much.
