Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDULCIE MAVOURNEEN BJORNSON Peacefully on September 10, 2004, Dulcie Mavourneen Bjornson (nee Price) passed away at Calvary Place Personal Care Home at the age of 90 with her family at her side. Born on July 7, 1914 and raised in Winnipeg, Dulcie (Del) married Ingimar Bjornson on December 3, 1938 and enjoyed 58 years of marriage until the passing of Ingi in 1996. Del had been employed at Eatons as a comptometer operator after high school. Ingi and Del had one daughter and they were blessed with four grandsons and four great-grandchildren. Del was very involved in sports in her early years especially baseball and basketball. She was a very talented piano player and enjoyed all kinds of music. Del also inherited her talent of sewing from her mother. She thoroughly enjoyed the cottage at Falcon Lake that her and Ingi built and could always be found swimming in the lake. During the winter, Del could be found at the "Y", taking courses at the University, or playing bridge. She was a devoted member of First Lutheran Church and the F.L.C.W. Del was a very loving and kind person and devoted to her family and many friends. She always had time to visit and enjoy everyones company. Her grandsons will remember her many stories that flowed from her head at the drop of a hat. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Barbara Mineault (Ed Neufeld) grandsons, Blaine (Chrystel) of Red Hook, NY, Brian (Marlene) of Calgary, AB, Blair (Nicole) of Winnipeg and Bruce (April) of Springfield, MB; great-grandchildren, Caley, Emily, Carsten and Julian; sister Clara Rummery of Winnipeg; and nieces and nephews in Winnipeg, Clearwater Bay, Vancouver, Oregon and California. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 14 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., Aubrey Street entrance. The funeral service will be held at First Lutheran Church at 580 Victor St. on Wednesday, September 15 at 1:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Blaine, Brian, Blair and Bruce; and her nephews Gary and Rob Rummery. The family would like to extend special thanks to the very caring staff at Calvary Place especially Rachael, Christine, Eranio and Trish for all the love, care and support. In lieu of flowers donations in Dulcies memory may be made to First Lutheran Church, 580 Victor St., Winnipeg, MB R3G 1R2 or Calvary Place Personal Care Home, 1325 Erin St., Winnipeg, MB R3E 3R6 or a charity of your choice.
