GAETAN JULES PATRY Gaetan Jules Patry (Pat) peacefully passed away September 7, 2004 with family by his side at the St. Boniface Hospital. Born January 23, 1920 in Notre-Dame-De-Beauport, PQ to Jules and Alice Patry. He came to Winnipeg in 1941 to work at Vulcan Iron Works. He was employed by Canada Post for 30 years until retirement in 1983. He was predeceased by his mother, father, five sisters, three brothers and his grandson Michael Patry. His loving wife Joan who he has been married to for 61 years survives Gaetan. He is also survived by his son David (Bev) son Patrick (Colleen) daughter Gloria (Ken) and daughter Gaetanne (Dan). He also leaves to mourn his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ted and Anne Diplock; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Dad was an award winning gardener and an avid photographer. He travelled all over the world and was a patron of the Manitoba Theatre, the Opera, the Ballet and the Winnipeg Symphony for many years. He especially enjoyed his summers spent at the cottage in Matlock. He had a great love for animals and also for baseball and hockey. He was a fan of the Montreal Canadiens. Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial to be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gaetan Patrys name to the St. Johns Presbyterian Church, 251 Bannerman Avenue, Winnipeg R2W 0T8.
