JANETTE (JAN) PAWLYCHYN (nee DROHOMERESKI) Peacefully with her family by her side, Janet Pawlychyn passed away on September 10, 2004 at the age of 59 years. Jan was born on May 30, 1945 at Teulon, MB and spent her early years in the Interlake region of Foley, MB. At 18 years of age, after completing her high school at Gimli, MB, Jan moved to Winnipeg and worked for Manitoba Telephone System from 1963 to 1975. She married her loving husband John in June of 1972 and has spent 32 wonderful years with him. Jan was a stay at home mom from December of 1975 to April of 1984 and cared for her precious children which she loved so dearly. Once her children were in school she again pursued a working career from April of 1984 to present with the Province of Manitoba, Court of Queens Bench, Winnipeg Courts, as a Court Clerk Monitor where she met and worked with many wonderful people and she enjoyed her job immensely. Left to mourn her loss are her loving husband John; very precious children, daughter Marla (Sean) Barr of Calgary, AB; son Craig (special friend Kym Myers) of Calgary; her loving mother Jessie Drohomereski of Teulon, MB; brother Phil (Lois) of Winnipeg; sisters, Deanna (Cec) Pringle of Winnipeg, Victoria (Peter) Midtdal of Vernon, BC and Eleanore (Randy) McMahon of Winnipeg; sisters-in-law, Mary Ptashynski of Teulon, Ann (John) Peiluck of Winnipeg, Kathy (Ross) Kidd of Saskatoon, SK; brother-in-law Alex (Irene) Pawlychyn of Wanless, MB; also numerous nieces, nephews and their families which held a very special place in her heart. Family was always very special and important to Jan. She was predeceased by her father Michael in September, 1992; father-in-law Michael in January, 1985; mother-in-law Katherine in May, 1987 and nephew David Peiluck in March, 1999. Jan wanted to thank her loving family, friends and coworkers from the bottom of her heart for all the acts of kindness during this very difficult and trying time, whether it be cards, gift, flowers, phone calls, prayers, visits, baking, meals or comforting words. It meant so much to her to know that so many people were with her in these troubling times. The family would like to thank Dr. Daeninck, Tracy Chornopyski, Bunty Anderson, Jennifer Schoenberger, Dr. Crawford, Dr. Popowich and all of the staff at Riverview Health Centre for their compassion and their very special gift of providing Jan and her family with comfort and care. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 15 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 455 Douglas Ave. with Rt. Rev. Canon Walter Klimchuk officiating. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jans memory to CancerCare Manitoba. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
