ELLA KATRIEN REYKDAL
Date of Passing: Sep 06, 2004
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELLA KATRIEN REYKDAL September 6, 2004 It is with heavy hearts that we, Olivia and Derrick, say goodbye to our daughter Ella. Ella is survived by her brother Brock; grandparents, Henry and Vera Slyker and Larry and Ina Yakielashek; also by her Aunty Meaghan (Jay) Calculli and Uncle Trevor (Lindsay) Slyker; great grandparents, great aunts and uncles. God, today we send our baby to you, Please give her wings to fly. She is so little, we hope they fit, Please teach her to flutter by. Well miss her so, though wed hardly met. Well never know her smile, Nor do we understand why She was only with us such a short while. Shell never know pain; Shell never know fear, For we know that You Will keep her near. When You call your little children To dwell with You above, We mortals sometimes question The wisdom of Your love. Perhaps You tire of calling The aged to Your fold, So You pick a rosebud Before it can grow old. You know how much we need them, And so You take but few To make the land of Heaven More beautiful to view. Believing this is difficult Still somehow we must try The saddest word mankind knows Will always be "Goodbye." Cremation has taken place and a service in celebration of Ella will be held on Wednesday, September 15 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, with Pastor Stan Richards officiating. Special thanks to Tami Tozeland for her help and support, as well the special attention and support we received from the nursing staff at the Womens Hospital. In lieu of flowerss donations may be made to the SIDS Foundation, P.O. Box 190, Station R, Toronto, ON M4G 3Z9. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
