GEORGE RUEBEN BOON Following a brief illness George passed away on September 8, 2004 at the Health Sciences Centre. George will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sons, Doug and Ken (Ann Marie) grandchildren, Debbie (Don), Dylan (Cherise), Rylan (Aubrey), Geoffrey (Erin) great-grandchildren, Dalton and Haydin. Also his loving and caring companion Carroll and her family. Dad was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth. He was born and raised in Souris, MB, serving with the R.C.A.F. during the Second World War. He then moved to Kenora, ON and worked as a carpenter. Finally moving to Winnipeg where he worked for The City of Winnipeg as an emergency dispatcher. Always the kind gentleman and Mr. Fix-It he was always willing to help family, friends and neighbours alike with their many mechanical and home renovation dilemmas. George will be sadly missed by family, extended family, friends and neighbours. A memorial service will be held on Thursday September 16 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Saviours Anglican Church on Munroe at Grey Street. with The Rev. R. Condo officiating. The family would also like to thank the emergency staff at The Health Sciences Centre for their excellent care and compassion.
