Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDORIS KSIAZEK July 1, 1911 - September 11, 2004 Peacefully with family at her side, Doris Ksiazek passed away at the Health Sciences Centre. Doris was predeceased by her husband, Alexander; parents, Cornelius and Tekla Bendera; sisters, Nellie Slobodian, Mary Mariash, Anne Pasaluko, Helen Romano, Sister Charitina S.S.M.I., Pauline Soluk; and brothers, John and Mike Bendera. Doris is survived by her loving son William (Sharry) of Hammond, IN; sisters, Pearl Antymis and Geraldine (Harold) Plischke; sisters-in-law, Emeline and Anne Bendera; and many nieces and nephews. Doris was born in Thalberg, MB and grew up in a large and loving pioneer family. Always daring and adventurous, she joined her girlfriend on a trip to the Worlds Fair in Chicago in 1933. It was here that she met the love of her life, Alex. They married in 1936 and made their home in Illinois. After Alexs passing in 1973, she returned to Canada and resided in Winnipeg. Living life to the fullest, Doris was always ready to have company or go out for a good meal or a card game. Her family was very precious to her and she took time to keep in touch with all. We will treasure memories of special times together. The family expresses gratitude to the very caring staff of home care and Holy Family Nursing Home. Prayers will be begin with the saying of the Rosary at 6:45 p.m., Tuesday, September 14 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 15, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Alphonsus Parish, 300 Donalda Ave. Interment will take place on Friday, September 17, at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. In lieu of flowers, those who wish, may make donations in Doris memory to Holy Family Nursing Home, 165 Aberdeen Ave. or St. Alphonsus Parish, 300 Donalda Ave. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
