ANNE ETHEL SMITH On Sunday, September 12, 2004. Mrs. Smith was predeceased by her husband F. Hartley Smith M.D. in 1986 and three sisters and one brother. She is survived by her children, Carol Macoomb (Richard Macoomb M.D.), Frances Cholakis (Leo Cholakis), Brian Smith (Mavis Smith) and Margaret Corcoran (Terence Corcoran), 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and one brother and one sister. Mrs. Smith was a registered nurse having trained at the St. Boniface Hospital School of Nursing. She was a longtime member of Westminster United Church and was an Honorary Life Member of the McKinnon Guild of the Childrens Hospital. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Westminster United Church, Maryland and Westminster. Rev. Robert Campbell will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada (Manitoba Chapter), 141 Bannatyne Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3B 0R2 or to a charity of your choice.
