GODARD 1926 - 2004 Peacefully, with his family by his side, on Saturday, September 11, 2004, Paul St. Godard passed away after a brief illness, at the DeSalaberry and District Health Centre in St. Pierre-Jolys, MB. Paul was born in Ste. Elizabeth, MB, on April 22, 1926. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 55 years, Denise (nee Trudel) his children, Renald (Judi), Lise (Alain Letendre), Marilyne (Roland Gosselin), Pauline (Richard Dubois) and Joanne (Richard Frechette) his 13 grandchildren, Ronald, Leanne, Peter, Caroline, Serge, Maurice, Natalie, Janelle, Julie, Roxanne, Veronique, Braden, Chloe; and seven great-grandchildren; his brothers, Armand (Yvette), Denis (Yvette), Aurele (Cindy), Roger (Marlyn) and Gilles; his sisters, Antoinette (late Amedee Marion), Liliane (Benoit Lambert), Yvette (Denis Brisson), Paulette (Alex Ross) and Gilberte (Orest Horbachewski) as well as the Trudel family. Paul was predeceased by his parents Napoleon and Marie-Louise (nee Peloquin) brothers, George (Marie), Henri (Jeannine) and Emile; one grandson Michael-Paul; two sisters-in-law, Leonna and Helene Trudel; as well as his mother and father-in-law Joseph and Cleophee Trudel. For 42 years Paul was employed with Beatrice Foods and retired 12 years ago in St. Malo, MB. The most important thing to Paul was spending time with his family and friends. The family extends special thanks to Dr. Strank and Dr. Duplessis, the staff at the DeSalaberry and District Health Centre, and to Father Joseph Choiselat. Funeral mass will be celebrated by Father Joseph Choiselat at the St. Malo Roman Catholic Church in St. Malo on Wednesday, September 15 at 2:00 p.m. Prayer service will begin at 1:30 p.m. The service will terminate at the church and cremation will follow. Private interment of Pauls cremated remains will take place in the St. Malo Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pauls memory to the Palliative Care Unit of the DeSalaberry and District Health Centre, St. Pierre-Jolys, MB R0A 1V0.
