Angeline immigrated to Canada with her parents Tomko and Telka in 1911, settling in Fraserwood, MB. She was orphaned before the age of 14 years along with her siblings. Angie worked as a hairdresser/beautician at Eatons, owned her own business and was an accomplished seamstress and knitter. Her culinary and gardening expertise delighted everyone, and especially her dog Trixie. Together Angeline and Alvin strongly supported the C.C.F. and the N.D.P. formerly at Fort William, ON and latterly in the Elmwood area. They were great fans of former Premier Edward Shreyer and especially universal medicare. Angeline was proud of her European heritage and its contribution. She was fluent in song and speech of several languages. She often spoke of her mothers midwifery skills in Fraserwood around 1912. She strongly encouraged a good education, work habits and fair remuneration for work. Angeline is survived by several nieces and nephews, Ron, Leonard, Diane (Lyric), Josephine, Trudy, Linda, Margaret and many great-nieces and nephews, and by her late husbands family in Saskatchewan.
