Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN CHRISTIE SMITH (nee FORGIE) May 25, 1924 - September 10, 2004 Peacefully, with Joe at her side Jean passed away on September 10 at St. Boniface Hospital. Jean will be missed by her two sons, Norm and Allan and her two daughters-in-law, Sandy and Sue. Nicole, Joel, Heather, Cam, Mandy, Ainsley, Scott, Kristel, Josh and Scotty will all miss their Grandma. Maggie and Sophia who recently brought a sparkle to Great-Grandmas eyes will miss visiting her. Jeans brothers, Will and Jimmy wish her peace. Jean was born in Winnipeg and raised in Elmwood. She attended George V. and Lord Selkirk Schools. She married Joe, her one and only true love 61 years ago on July 21, 1943. They raised their family in St. Vital and remained there throughout their lives. Our family wishes to thank the staff of 7A South for their kindness and caring. If friends so desire donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or the Canadian Cancer Society. The immediate family will attend a celebration of Jeans life at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens.
