Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTEPHEN BAYDUZA 1920 - 2004 Steve lost his battle to cancer at home surrounded by family at his side, on September 14, 2004. He leaves to mourn his loving wife, Elizabeth; son Robert; daughter Karen (Scott) and his two precious granddaughters, Barbara and Angela Carpenter of Dryden, ON. He is also survived by his brother John (Alice) of Dauphin; sisters, Mary Tisnohuz of Grandview and Elsie Shymko of Winnipeg; sister-in-law Elsie Bayduza of Winnipeg; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Steve was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Nellie (nee Stadnyk) brothers, Michael, William, James and Jacob; and sisters, Lucy Kotz, Anne Campbell and Pearl Podruski. Steve was born in Sifton, MB on December 25, 1920. He received his education at Mink Creek School. At the age of 18 he enlisted in the army. After his discharge he went to work in a smelter in Kitamat, BC. He then purchased a farm in Fork River and farmed there until retiring to Arnes in 1984. Steve loved watching sports of all kinds, he was an avid gardener and took pride in his yard planting numerous trees and shrubs. Most of all he liked spending quality time with his family. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 18 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Michaels Roman Catholic Church, Gimli. The family wishes to thank Dr. Beukes and staff at the Arborg and District Health Centre for their compassionate care while he was in the hospital. Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Gimli in care of arrangements.
