Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE BOISSONNEAULT 1939 - 2004 In loving memory of George Boissonneault who passed away on Monday, September 13, 2004 at the Dryden Regional Health Centre. George was born in Winnipeg, MB on March 11, 1939 and received his education there. In 1961 he married Denise Guenette and joined the Dryden Police Department, a position he held until April 1977. In 1977 he purchased Dryden Jewellers. George was very active in the community. He was appointed Justice of the Peace (non presiding) in 1989 and Presiding Justice of the Peace in 2003. George served as a Councillor for the Town of Dryden and then became Mayor of the Town of Dryden for one term. George was a past member of the Knights of Columbus and the Dryden Kinsmen Club. George was an avid fisherman, loved camping and enjoyed his time spent at the cottage. He will be remembered for his great sense of humour and his outstanding roast beef dinners. George will be fondly remembered by his loving wife Denise; son Mark of Winnipeg; daughter Nicole (Jason) Janssen of Texas; and one grandson Duke. Also surviving are his brothers, Gilbert and John of Winnipeg, Hector of British Columbia and sister Loriane Landry of Winnipeg. He was also special uncle to numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. George was predeceased by his parents, Leo and Marie Boissonneault. A funeral mass will be held Saturday, September 18, at 2:00 p.m. in St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church, Dryden, officiant Fr. Luigi Filippini. Cremation will follow with interment of ashes to take place at a later date. Visitation will be held Friday from 3:00 p.m. with prayers to be recited at 6:00 p.m. in the Moffat Chapel.
