Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHARLES FREDERICK (CHARLIE) RICHTER After a long and courageous battle with cancer, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather on September 14, 2004. Charlie was born in Ashern on September 4, 1926. He lived all his life in the Ashern area. As a young man he worked as a truck driver and a farmer. He was an avid hunter and an outdoor enthusiast. In later years he took great pride in his yard and was a great believer in recycling. He is survived by his wife Jackie; sons, Barry (Louise) and Ken; grandchildren, Robert, Lisa, Vanessa, Chantel, Corwin, and Nolan; his brother Norman (Lorraine) sisters, Florence (Dick) Midbo, Helen (Pete) Hiebert, Diane (Bob) Dyck; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. He was predeceased by his father Fred in 1995 and his mother Ella in 2004. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 19 at the Ashern Centennial Hall with Pastor Nancy Walker officiating. Interment to follow in the Col Clough Cemetery. The family would like to thank all the staff at the Lakeshore General Hospital for all the care the gave Charlie.
