Date of Passing: Sep 13, 2004
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH "BETTY" TEMPLEMAN Peacefully on Monday, September 13, 2004, Elizabeth passed away with her family at her side. She was predeceased by her sisters, Mary and Rose. Left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Tim (Monique), Joe (Wendy), Jane (Taras) Happychuk, and Susan (Clayton) Pederson, Selena; and of course, her ten beloved grandchildren. Rather than mourn her passing, we choose to celebrate her life. Mom grew up in Sprague, MB. Here she developed her special love for children by starting her teaching career, which spanned over a period of 30 years. She taught in many southern Manitoba and Northern Ontario rural schools. She retired from Ross L. Gray school in Sprague, MB in 1980. Mom had many great loves. In particular, she loved her sports and could always be found glued to her television set watching various events including curling and football, especially the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Her many pastimes included gardening, reading, music, and her family will always cherish the many memories of lively political debates around the kitchen table. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the first floor staff at Poseidon Care Centre for their care and compassion over the last year. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, friends may wish to make a donation to her favourite charity, World Vision, 1 World Dr., Mississauga, ON L5T 2Y4. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 885-9715 Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolence at www.chapellawn.mb.ca
