Dennis will be deeply missed by his wife Christine and his children, Leah, Steven and Evan. He will also be greatly missed by his brother Ken, Kens wife Elly, his Aunt Molly and many other relatives and friends. Dennis was predeceased by his mother Stephanie and his father Peter. Dennis was born in Winnipeg on August 14, 1947 and grew up in the north end. After graduating from St. Johns High School he entered the Business Administration program at Red River College and graduated among the top in his class. He began his working life at the Royal Bank in 1971 and was with them for 23 years. In 1995 he and his wife started their own graphic design business - Drawing Board Designs. In 1982 Dennis married the love of his life Christine and four years later became a father. His children were everything to him and he took much pride in teaching them lifes lessons whether they wanted to hear them or not. He became involved as a basketball coach at Voyageur and Ness Schools, was an instructor for Junior Achievement, volunteered in math classes, was a lecturer and judge for the entrepreneurship practicum at Red River College, and was active in many other volunteer activities. Dennis other passion was politics and was elected as a trustee to the St. James Assiniboia School Division in 1998. He was also a candidate for the Progressive Conservative Party in the 2003 provincial election. Dennis was a strong, caring and passionate man who always loved a good argument (discussion). He has accomplished much in his lifetime and will be greatly missed. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and oncology social workers at the Health Sciences Centre and Seven Oaks Hospital for their caring support. A celebration of Dennis life will be held at The Messiah Lutheran Church, 400 Rouge Rd., September 20 at 11:00 a.m. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
