LARRY EDWARD EMMS April 8, 1951 - September 16, 2004 After a lengthy battle with cancer, Larry went to be with his Lord and Saviour at Riverview Health Centre. He was surrounded by the love and prayers of his family, Yvonne, Barrie, Pat and Monica. He had a gentle, sweet spirit and will be missed by his friends and neighbours and by his dog, Bentley. Larry worked for years cooking in Northern camps, and also drove road-tractors, including A-trains over winter roads. He loved nature and his home. He was unselfish, willing to help, loving and kind. We wish to express appreciation to Palliative Care, the staff and doctors at Riverview Health Centre, Dr. Leylek and Dr. Stimpson at CancerCare MB, Dr. Gooi, Rhonda Loeppky and all others who helped Larry during this time. "Anyone too lazy to cook will starve, but a hard worker is a valuable treasure. Proverbs 12:27 In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Union Gospel Mission, 320 Princess St., P.O. Box 1073, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2X4. A memorial service will be held Monday, September 20 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. Arrangements entrusted to: VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIUM 220 Hespeler Ave. @ Henderson Hwy. 668-3151
