In loving memory of ALEX WILLIAM McLEOD SR. March 23, 1933 - September 14, 2004 Peacefully on September 14, 2004 at 12:45 a.m. after a courageous battle with cancer, Alex was called upon by the Lord for the graceful journey home to heaven, with family and friends by his bedside. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Bernadette; children, Joyce, Neil, Alex Jr., Denise (Bruce) and Vince. He proudly had 12 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren on the way. Alex was blessed with many friends. He always gave love, understanding and encouragement. He was a humourous, strong and daring man who lived life to the fullest. For many years he was a dependable hard working man. He left Cross Lake in 1948 at age 15 for employment opportunities. He resided in Wabowden with his wife and children until returning home to his family (brothers, sisters and mother) in 1991 where he retired and lived a joyful life. Alex will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Funeral service will be held Saturday, September 18 at 2:00 p.m. in Cross Lake at the House of Prayer.
