EDYTHE RHODA EVERATT Peacefully on Friday, September 17, 2004, at the Lakeshore General Hospital in Ashern, MB, Edythe Rhoda Everatt (Playter) of Ashern formerly of Winnipeg passed away. Mom was born on February 17, 1934 in Willow Bunch, SK, to Grant and Gertrude Playter. She was the second oldest of 10 children. She married Robert H. (Harry) Everatt on June 29, 1953, and they had three children, Butch, Al and Barb. They lived in the Moosehorn area for several years and then moved to Winnipeg in 1959. Mom worked at the Municipal Hospitals and then worked for the Winnipeg Police Force. Mom and Dad retired to the farm at Ashern where she loved to garden. She also enjoyed playing cards and games. She was predeceased by her mom and dad; her youngest brother Kenny; a sister-in-law Liz Everatt; a brother-in-law Mac Reiser; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Christianne and Robert John Everatt. She is survived by her husband Harry; son Butch (Donna) and their sons, Ken, BJ, Gage and Cole; son Albert (Germaine) and their daughter Nikki; daughter Barb (Barry) Yanke and their daughters, Erin and Heather; her brother Keith (Maybelle) Playter; sister Eleanor (Walter) Kiel; brother Earl Playter and his companion Marilyn; brother Grant (Joan) Playter; sister Judy (Frank) Friesen; brother Ross (Joyce) Playter; sister Linda (Garry) Everatt; sister Violet (Rick) Hiebert. Also surviving her are her brother-in-law Bud Everatt; and sisters-in-law, Rose Everatt and Eva Reiser, along with many other family members. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 21 at the Ashern Centennial Hall with Pastor Greg Kiel officiating. Service will conclude at the Hall with a family interment to be held at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined.
