JOHN DYCK Peacefully on September 18, 2004, John Dyck, aged 76, passed away at the St. Boniface General Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents, Helena (nee Braun) and John Dyck; four sisters, Lena, Margaret, Anna and Elizabeth; as well as a brother Peter. John will be remembered lovingly by his wife of 51 years, Sarah (nee Klassen) son Doug (Leslie) three grandchildren, Megan, Jordyn and Christian John; sisters, Lena (Martin) Klassen, Tina Chubaty and Mary (John) Friesen; brothers, Jake (Nadia), Ed (Nettie) and Henry (Anne) as well as many devoted nieces, nephews and friends. John retired as foundry foreman from Griffin Steel Foundry after 28 years of service. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 21 at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with viewing a half hour prior to the service time. A reception will follow in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. John will be laid to rest in the Froese Family Cemetery in Altona, following the reception. A special thank you to Harold and Marilyn Lepp and Henry and Winnie Giesbrecht for their ongoing support during Dads lengthy illness. The family would also like to thank his many devoted neighbours and friends for their thoughts, prayers and uplifting visits. We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the St. Boniface Hospital staff for their ongoing support and care. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6, the disease that took John from us.
