Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTANLEY (STAN) HARROW Born October 18, 1924 in Winnipeg, died suddenly on September 17, 2004 at his home. Stan will be forever remembered by his beloved wife, Dorothy (nee Nastiuk) of 58 years; his children, Beverly Stewart (Donald) of Victoria, Dr. James Harrow (Betty) of Alabama, Leslie Talman (Hans) of Winnipeg; four grandchildren, Jennifer Stewart, Michael Stewart (Abigail), Aynsley Harrow and Lasha Talman. He is also survived by two sisters, Bernice (Alex) Kucharski of Las Vegas and Terry Oprysk of Toronto, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Catherine Harrow; brothers, Michael and Charlie; sister Virginia Adams; and niece Jeanette Johnson. Stan served with the Royal Canadian Navy and served on Escort Duty to England during the Second World War. He was a member of the Masonic Beaver Lodge and also of the Shrine Khartum Temple in the Chanters Unit. The family would like to thank the paramedics and staff for their kindness and compassion to Dorothy at a time of great sorrow. Pallbearers will be Donald Stewart, Hans Talman, Peter Zadorozny, Roy Blanchard, Larry Zadorozny and Edward Blanchard. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, September 22 at 7:00 p.m. in Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. No. 1 East at Navin Road. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 23 at 10:00 a.m. in Green Acres Funeral Home with Rev. Henry Lakusta of the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral officiating. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
