Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELLA MISURKA (nee FROESE) Peacefully following a lengthy illness it is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Ella Misurka with her family by her side in her home on September 18, 2004 at the age of 72. Ella will be lovingly remembered by her husband Walter Misurka; her children, Florence Misurka, David Misurka (Ilona), Katherine Misurka-Feal (Dana), Andrew Misurka (Viviane) grandchildren, Kristina, Samantha and Desiree; sisters, Ricky Klassen, Trudy Erickson (Ernie) brother Hugo Froese (Ann) sister-in-law Anne Misurka, Dorothy Misurko, Ethel Misurka and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. She was predeceased by her parents, one brother and five sisters. Ella was born on November 1, 1931 in Glenside, SK. In her teens, she moved with her family to British Columbia. In her late 20s, she moved east and met and married Walter in Kenora in 1963. Shortly after, they settled in Winnipeg where they raised four children. Ella worked as a homemaker, sewing clothes, baking bread, with her door always opened to her neighbours. She enjoyed meeting people and sharing a cup of coffee. Upon retirement, Ella and Walter moved out to their cottage in Elma, MB where Ella spent much time enjoying the outdoors. She tended her beautiful flower gardens, spent many happy hours in her greenhouse and loved to take long walks. Her generosity and love was shown through the many quilts and baby blankets she made for others. Throughout her life and illness she found great strength and grace through her faith, in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour. The family would like to thank the staff at CancerCare Manitoba, the Palliative Home Care program, and a special thank you to Dr. Jan Mulder. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 22 at 10:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. No. 1 East at Navin Road. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, contributions can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery Hwy. #1 E. at Navin, 1-204-925-1120
