ANNA ROMANCE-KNYSH It is with deep sadness that her niece, who was visiting her in Los Angeles, announces the passing of Anna Knysh on September 19, 2004. Anna was born on November 23, 1913 in Silver, MB. She was one of eight children born to Alexandra and Gregory Romance. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Walter; daughter-in-law, Evelyn; sister Julia; brothers, Walter, Mike, Peter, William and Paul. Anna is survived by her son, Henry; brother, John; sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Anna and her husband lived in Norwalk, CA for 45 years, where they entertained many family and friends from Canada. She was a member of the Norwalk Senior Center and she enjoyed playing bingo, going on senior outings, and visiting new places. Whenever she had a few minutes she loved to do needlepoint and cross-stitch, which many have hanging in their home. Anna loved cats and every cat on the street knew when she was coming. She made sure she had a treat for each one. She also had very dear and helpful neighbours. The family thanks her neighbor and friend, Kay Okino, who spent a lot of time visiting with her, taking her for appointments, doing her shipping, and always being there for her. Jennie, Glen, Melissa, and Emanuel were neighbours who looked up to her as a grandma. Whenever they had family functions the children brought her food to last a few days. Funeral service will be held at the Luyben Family Spongberg Bellflower Norwalk Mortuary, Norwalk, CA at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 21. Prayers will be held on Thursday, September 23 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. in Winnipeg, MB.
