M. CONSTANCE (CONNIE) DOERR (nee MARRIN) Connie Doerr passed away peacefully on September 20, 2004 at the Oakview Place Nursing Home at the age of 102 years. Connie was born to Daisy and Edward Marrin on September 21, 1902. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband George in 1966 and her daughter Georgine Creery in 1999. Surviving are her daughter Carolyn Smith of Maryland, U.S.A.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and her sister Ruth Fadell of Minneapolis U.S.A. During her marriage the family had also lived in Saskatoon and Toronto. The family would like to extend their appreciation to nephew Lindsay and his wife Aline who were so helpful to Connie since George died. Special thanks are also extended to the nurses and staff of Oakview Place for their care and kindness, in particular Leila Bustamente. Connie will be lovingly remembered for her grace, dignity and sweet disposition. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 25 at 10:00 a.m. in the Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway with Fr. Mark Tarrant officiating.
