ELSIE MARIE CARLSON Peacefully at Gimli hospital, Elsie passed away two days before her 95th birthday. She was predeceased by her best friend and husband Norman in 1992, they are rejoined now. Also most recently by her sister Carrie and previously by six other sibling. She leaves to mourn her loving son Kenneth of Gimli, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, one sister Ruth Olson of Sturgis, Sask., one sister-in-law Kay Olsen, many wonderful nephews, nieces and friends. Elsie was born in Oslo, Norway in 1909, along with her family came to Canada in about 1914 and received her education here. Elsie worked extremely hard all her life. Her joy was her music and dancing. She loved having people over for coffee and enjoyed a good joke and laugh with her family around her. A warm thanks to the nurses and staff of the Betel Home and Gimli Community Health Centre in Gimli for the care and kindness they gave her. A special thank you to Peggy from Home Care for her continued visits. A special thank you to Dr. R.C. Patel for his care and compassion. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave. (entrance on Aubrey Street). If friends desire, donations in Elsies memory may be made to Healing Garden, Box 250, Gimli, MB, R0C 1B0 Auntie, you gave us years of happiness with your kindness and sense of humour and now there is sorrow and tears.
