ALLAN MABON It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Allan W. Mabon of Gimli, MB on Thursday, September 23, 2004 after a battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his father Norman, his brothers, Ross and Bruce, brothers-in-law Ralph and Bob, father-in-law Alvie; mother-in-law Unnur. Al is survived by his loving wife Ann of 48 years, daughter Carol, grandsons Michael and Christopher, great grandson Brandon, his mother Rose, his brothers Melvin (Georgina), sister Alice, sisters-in-law Shirley and Margaret and in-laws Norman (Ann), Frank (Mary), Wilfred (Julie), Dorothy (Dennis), and Joan. Al was born September 19, 1933 on the family farm near Neelin, MB the 4th child of Norman and Rose Mabon. He received his grade schooling at a one room country school and high school at Neelin. He worked at a number of jobs for 17 years until he got the job he loved at Pauls Hauling Ltd. After 26 years he retired in December 1994 and he and the love of his life Ann moved to their dream house in Arnes, MB. He golfed, worked around the house and yard and enjoyed helping neighbours and friends. For the last several years we migrated to Weslaco, TX where we enjoyed the warmth, golfing and the many dear friends we made in Pineto Palm. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Monday, September 27 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. #1 E. at Navin Rd., with Pastor Dick Unrau officiating.
