EDITH BROWN (nee KLEPATZ) April 23, 1914 - September 23, 2004 It is with deep sadness that we, the family of Edith Brown, announce her passing at the Deer Lodge Centre, Winnipeg, MB. She was predeceased by her husband Andrew in November 1996; her son Ken; her son-in-law Herb Buss; and grandson Colin Brown. She leaves to mourn her two daughters, Edna Buss of Winnipeg and Eleanor (Ross) Wickware of Edmonton; and her two sons, Gordon (Maureen) of Edmonton, AB, and Ernie of Elma, MB; and 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Edith was born on April 23, 1914, in Faulkner, MB. She married Andrew in 1932 in Whitemouth and ultimately resided in Whitemouth where they farmed. Upon their retirement from farming in 1968, they moved to Beausejour. Edith was an active member of the St. Pauls United Church and belonged to the UCW. She also enjoyed numerous activities such as gardening, crafts, knitting and baking for the family. She was very devoted to her family. In August 2000, Mom moved to Amber Meadows in Winnipeg where she made new friends and enjoyed her time spent. The family would like to thank all the staff at the Deer Lodge Centre, 4 West, for the loving care and kindness that Mom received for the past year and a half. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 26 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Pauls United Church, Beausejour, with Mr. John Robertson officiating. Interment will follow in the Beausejour Cemetery. Viewing will take place prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the St. Pauls United Church or a charity of ones choice.
