EARLE ROGERS Peacefully, on Saturday, September 25, 2004 at the St. Boniface Hospital, Earle passed away. He was predeceased by his sister Fern Reeves and brother Bill. Earle is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Helen; son Randy; daughters, Fern (Grant) Wasney, Debbie (John) Shalagan, Lisa (Ray), Barbra (Jeff) grandchildren, Vaughan, Tristan, Trevor, Kyle, and Brodie. He will also be sadly missed by extended family and friends, especially his cousin Gladys Desjardins. Earle was born in Winnipeg and grew up in Piney, MB. He was overseas during the war, after which he met Helen and they made their home in Winnipeg. Earle was a member of the Elevators Constructors No. 102 and the No. 1 Legion. He enjoyed music, especially playing the fiddle, gardening, bicycling and spending time with friends and family. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 30 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with interment and reception to follow. The family would like to thank Dr. Donald Duerksen and Dr. Arthur Blank for their special care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 1160-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
