ALMA BRUNEAU (FROST) CHEATER Peacefully while sleeping in the comfort of her home, on Saturday, September 25th, 2004 at the age of 88. Born June 13th, 1916, the youngest of 16 children. Alma was raised in the Lac du Bonnet area and moved to St. Boniface as a young woman. She married (Slim) Donovan Frost in 1938. They were divorced in 1950, and he passed away in 1971 in Selkirk. She married George Cheater October 11, 1952, and he passed away in 1986. The family melded her three daughters with his six children, and adopted two more children. Alma is survived by her sister, Marie McDonald, Windsor Park, sister-in-law Lucienne Bruneau, Great Falls. Four daughters, Joan Traversie (Chuck), Portland, Oregon, Genevieve (Marcel) Perchotte, Lockport, Rosalita (Bill) Browning, Carlton, Oregon and Lisa Cheater, who lived with Alma to her end. One son Louie Frost, Texas. 3 step-children; Carole (Wayne) Taylor, Gimli, Gerald (Pat) Cheater, Wpg., Bernard (Colleen) Cheater, Wpg.; 9 grandchildren; Leslie and Denie Traversie, Brock (Rhonda), Vilain, Dille (Peter) Perchotte, Robert (Terri) Sawtelle, Jennifer (Ray) Miller, Scott and David Crompton; 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are, Denis and Trefle Gareau, Scott and David Crompton, Brock Perchotte and Ray Miller. Prayers: On Thursday, Sept. 30th at 7 p.m. and the funeral mass on Friday, Oct. 1st at 10:30 a.m., both at La Paroisse du Sacre-Coeur, (corner of Brandon and Osborne). Rev. Pere Albert Bouffard presiding in both French and English. The complete service will terminate with lunch at the church. Alma will be laid to rest next to her husband George in the St. Boniface Cemetery. Green Acres Funeral Home and Cemetery Hwy. #1 E. at Navin, 1-204-925-1120.
