Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFILOMENA PEPE Peacefully, on September 26, 2004 at the Seven Oaks Hospital, with her family by her side, Filomena passed away. Filomena was predeceased by her loving husband Michele in 2003. Left to cherish her memory, is her son Domenico (Lena) daughter Rosa (Filippo) Sciangula; grandchildren, Filomena (Hugh), Caterina (Lloyd), Gianni, Michele (Amanda), Antonella; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Mykal, Matthew, Maddalena, and Domenico; as well as her sister Antonietta (Giovanni) Del Buono and their family. Filomena was born on April 20, 1922 in San Bartolomeo in Galdo, Benevento, Italy and came to Canada in 1963 with her family. Filomena was a loving and caring person who put the needs of others before her own. With the support of her family, she made every effort to maintain her independence. She had a wonderful sense of humour and a laugh that could light up the room and put a smile on everyones face. She was a person with great strength and optimism in which she shared with others. Filomena devoted herself to her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She helped raise her grandchildren and enjoyed watching her great-grandchildren grow. Above all, Filomena loved to spend time with her family. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, September 28 at 7:30 p.m. at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 29 at 10:00 a.m. from the church as well with Fr. Richard Arsenault officiating. Interment to follow in Assumption Chapel Mausoleum. The family would like to thank the staff of home care; also doctors, nurses, and staff of Emergency and 5B at the Seven Oaks Hospital, for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire donations in Filomenas memory may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke foundation 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6.
