SOPHIE YARISH It is with deep regret and sorrow that the family announces the passing of Sophie Yarish on Sunday, September 26, 2004 at Seven Oaks Hospital with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband Steve in 1992; her parents, Mike and Anne Matiation; brothers, Andrew, Peter, Bill; and sister Phyllis. Left to mourn her loss are her children, Eugene (Judy), Murry (Judy), MaryAnn; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; sisters, Mary Ewanyshyn, Ollie Findlay, Elsie Siebert; and brother Zane Matiation. Sophie was born and raised in Oakburn, MB on July 12, 1923 and was married to Steve Yarish in 1941. They moved their family to Winnipeg in 1958, joined St. Josephs Ukrainian Catholic Church and were very active in the life of the parish. Sophie belonged to the UCWLC and recently received a 40 year pin. Her participation and support will be greatly missed. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Seven Oaks Hospital for their kindness and care. Also very special thanks to her very close friends for their unconditional love and support. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, September 28 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 29 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Josephs Ukrainian Catholic Church, 250 Jefferson Ave. with a Redemptorist Father officiating. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sophies memory to the Seven Oaks Hospital Foundation. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
