CINDY THERESA MARTENS It is with deep regret that we announce the death of our beloved Cindy, whom after a brief illness passed away peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre early Thursday morning, September 30, 2004. At the age of 42 years, Cindy leaves two young children, Jeni age 12 and Ryan age 10; her husband Doug; parents, Steve and Rose; brothers, Chris (Lynn, Nick and Bryce) and Micheal (Caroline) as well as numerous relatives and friends. Cindy lived her whole life in Fort Garry. She was a kind, loving and spirited person who devoted the last couple of years to providing home care to those in need. Her children were the most important part of her life. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 12 at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Church, 254 Arnold Ave. with Rev. Fr. Henryk Laciak, presiding. Cindy will be laid to rest in St. Marys Cemetery next to the church. Our family wishes to offer our special thanks to the staff of the Health Sciences Centre, Cindys cousin Judith and to all those that have shown their kindness for our loss.
