GERALD "GERRY" VAN LINGE August 3, 1962 - September 25, 2004 It is with great sadness and sorrow that the family announces the sudden passing of their beloved husband, father, son, brother and uncle, Gerry van Linge, on Saturday, September 25, 2004. Born in Winnipeg, he worked in the family drilling business (Maple Leaf Drilling Ltd.) for 20 years as a driller. He took great pride in his work and was well liked by everyone. He enjoyed hunting and spending a lot of time in the outdoors, looking for deer horns and picking mushrooms. He also enjoyed spending time with his wife Debbie and children, Breanne and Shane. He was very creative and talented. Everyone admired his carvings. Gerry was a very loving and giving husband and father and enjoyed his family. He loved helping people of all ages and spending time with his buddies and the guys at work. He spent a lot of time feeding deer on his property and taking pictures of them. Gerry was an excellent cook and loved to experiment with different recipes. He will be sadly missed and always remembered by his wife Debbie; and his children, Breanne and Shane; by his parents, Roli and Bill; his brothers, Al (Lori), Ed (Lori) his nieces and nephews, Kurt, Robyn, Owen, Joey, Melissa and Madison; by his in-laws the Adams family. A celebration of Gerrys life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 2 at the Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint) with a reception to follow. A private interment (family and close friends only) will take place at the Sunny Site Cemetery in the RM of Springfield.
