Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN (HANS) LAGE John (Hans) Lage passed away suddenly and peacefully in his sleep on September 26, 2004 at his home, having lived a full life. John was born on September 29, 1925 in Einlage, Ukraine. He married Elfriede Sunderman in Germany on March 18, 1949. They had one son, Dietmar, in 1950. Upon immigrating to Canada in 1957, they settled in Winnipeg. John was a partner in Lage Brothers Pianos until his retirement at the age of 62. John is predeceased by his parents Johann and Magaretha and by Elfriede. He will be greatly missed by his loving companion Elizabeth Jenkins and her family; his son Dietmar and partner Elizabeth; his grandson Christiaan Marshall-Lage and members of the Lage family, including his aunt Luise (Lisa) and her family; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Heinz and Beate, Leonhard (Hardy) and Hilda, and Rudy and Louise, together with his nieces and nephews, Charles, Margie, Heidi, Edward, Leonard and Irene. The funeral will take place Thursday, September 30 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., West St. Paul with Rev. Abe Rempel officiating. Interment will be at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Viewing one-half hour before the funeral service. A donation may be made in memory of John Lage to The Movement Centre of Manitoba, 148 Redview Dr., Winnipeg, MBR2N 3C8.
