SARAH ANN ARTHUR In memory of our loving mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother who passed away on September 28th, 2004 at Third Crossing Manor in Gladstone. Mom was born in Gladstone on October 6, 1915 to Mathew and Susan Wilson. After the death of her mother in 1922 she and her sister Mary lived with Mr. & Mrs. James Wilson. Mom attended Silver Stream School for her elementary education and received her high school in Gladstone. Mom graduated in 1935 from Winnipeg Normal School and taught in a number of schools in Manitoba. On February 2, 1943 mom married Henry Arthur where they farmed in the Mayfeld District until they retired to Gladstone in 1979. Mom, in here earlier years was active with Knox friends and neighbours, Gladstone United Church Auxiliary, Order of the Eastern Star and Gladstone Seniors Inc. Mom will be sadly missed by her son Keith (Kathy) and daughter Faye (Gordon) grandchildren; Thomasina (Mark), Deanna, Andrew and Susan (David) great-grandchildren, Emma, Hayden, Duston, Sheldon and Nicholas; and by her step grandchildren, Allen (Chanel), Raine and Roberta; and step great-grandchildren Tristan, Aidan and Kaiya. Mom also leaves to morn her passing her sister Mary (Walter), brother John, sister in-law Frances, Grace, Ruth (Eldon) as well as many nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by her husband Henry, her parents, sister Ellen and brothers Henry, and Wally. Funeral service will be held Monday, October 4, 2004 in the Gladstone United Church with Rev. Bob Hunter and Rev. Randy Fehr officiating. Interment will follow at the Gladstone Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Liver Foundation or to the Gladstone Area Seniors Support Program. Clarkes Funeral Home, Gladstone ~ MacGregor in care of arrangements.
