CATHERINE EDITH MUIRHEAD (nee DEXTER) 1923 - 2004 The circle of life is complete: Edith passed away peacefully at the Riverview Health Centre on Friday, October 1, 2004 just two weeks after her husband of 57 years, Frank. Mom grew up in Holland, MB, but lived most of her life in Winnipeg. Moms devotion and steadfast love for her family are gifts that will never be lost. Her unconditional patience and encouragement nurtured our individual development and guided us to be better people. Those who knew Mom respected her many admirable qualities and her unwavering desire to be helpful. Caring and loving, modest and thoughtful, Mom quietly made a very special place in our lives, the lives of her friends and her community. Never needing or wanting recognition for herself, she was a model of the power of gentle kindness - always putting others first. Mom went quietly about living her beliefs and took great pleasure in what she was able to do for others. In her memory, take time to share a kindness with someone: reach out in some way and make a difference. Mom was always grateful for these opportunities and we are very fortunate to have had her in our lives. Edith is survived by daughter Marilyn Morrice (John Crittall) and granddaughter Hilary; daughter Joanne Macbeth (John) and grandson Bryan (Jenni) and granddaughter Ainslie; her sisters-in-law, Myrtle Little and Nancy Dexter and nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held in the chapel at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway on Monday, October 4 at 4:00 p.m. Private family interment to take place at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Thanks to the staff members of Lions Manor and Riverview Health Centre, CD3, for the compassionate care they provided. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ediths memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2. Thomson Funeral Home - 669 Broadway - 925-1120
