GERALD JOHN MULLIGAN Gerald John Mulligan, of Grandview, MB, passed away peacefully on his 89th birthday, September 29, 2004 at Grandview District Hospital. Gerald was predeceased by his mother Olive (nee Morran) Mulligan in 1921; father John Mulligan in 1966; stepmother Kate Mulligan in 1988; brother Jackie Mulligan in 1961; niece Bonnie Pasareno in 1965; his first wife Irene (nee Brown) Mulligan in 1972 and stepson Allen Sewell in 1996. Surviving besides his wife Ruth Mulligan of Grandview are one son Murray (Kathy) Mulligan of Stonewall; one daughter Donna (Gary) Maxwell of Grandview; one stepson Elwood (Freda) Sewell of Stonewall; two stepdaughters, Betty (John) West of Edmonton, Hazel (Dwayne) Chyz of Tucson, Arizona; one stepdaughter-in-law Betty Sewell of Saskatoon, 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; one brother Bill (Lillian) Mulligan of Winnipeg; two sisters, Audrey Haddock of Kelowna, BC, Linda (Bob) Statland of Wadena, SK, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Funeral service will be held Monday, October 4 at 2:00 p.m. from Grandview United Church with Rev. David Barrows officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens. Memorial gifts to honour Geralds life may be forwarded to Grandview District Community Foundation, Box 238, Grandview, MB ROL OYO, (to aid in purchasing another bed for the Palliative Care Ward at Grandview Hospital).
