Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTONY WASYLISHEN Peacefully on September 30, 2004, Tony Wasylishen of Winnipeg passed away in his own home at the age of 78 years. Tony is survived by his wife Frances; his daughters, Brenda (Brent) Joanne; his son Andrew (Julie) grandchildren Jason and Carrie; and his two sisters. Tony was born in Tolstoi, MB on February 22, 1926. He served in the Canadian Armed Forces, and after his discharge, became a barber. Tony owned and operated Tonys Barber Shop on Sargent and Maryland for 40 years, and after selling the business to Jeff, he continued to work occasionally, up until just recently. Tony was an avid golfer and enjoyed the countless games played with his, "golf buddies". As well, Tony was a long-time member of the No. 1 Legion where he had established many long time friendships. Tony enjoyed spending time in his workshop. We all have something that he fixed for us, saying, "Now, it will last forever." Every time we saw him there was a joke to tell, and he always enjoyed a good laugh. Tony will be greatly missed. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 6, 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
