Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGORDEN CHARLES HANNEM Suddenly, at St.Boniface Hospital, on October 3, 2004, Gorden Charles Hannem passed away. Survived by his loving wife, Grace Land. He was pre-deceased by his father, Roy Hannem. Also survived by his mother, Joyce Moffatt and step-father Charles; his three brothers, Wally (Susan), John (Merri-Sue), Rolly (Wendy) and nieces and nephews mostly residing in Nova Scotia. As well, Gords death will be grieved by steadfast friends Arnold and Brenda Sparkes and by Graces daughter, Sarah Granovsky and by friends and co-workers too numerous to mention. Gord is also survived by twin sons Aaron and Zeph. Over the past two decades Gord has been a cab driver for Duffys Taxi. He had a phenomenal memory for streets and landmarks and strived for good customer service along with a joke or two. The past few Fridays he was on CJOB with Larry Updike commenting as "cabbie Gord". For several years Gord was a volunteer driver at Winnipeg festivals, especially the annual Jazz Winnipeg and Comedy Festivals. Gord was happy-go-lucky, kind generous, gregarious, with a sharp wit: he was never at loss for words! "Many hearts today are heavy, and many tears are being shed" Gord was an organ donor. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Friday, October 8 at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be given in Gords memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundations of Manitoba. Arrangements entrusted to: VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIUM 220 Hespeler Ave. @ Henderson Hwy. 668-3151
